Goal Setting

Set Yourself Goals for Activities Outside Work

The process of seeking a new job may also have helped you to focus on what you want to achieve in your life outside work. You may have already set goals you want to achieve for yourself in your leisure activities and personal development. It will be useful to review these on a periodic basis and set yourself new goals as existing targets are achieved and particular aspirations are fulfilled. A series of tangible targets relating to activities outside your work can help bring a better balance to your life and provide an opportunity for relaxation and the release of work-related stress. It is worth standing back every six months or so and analysing progress towards the goals set and adjusting the targets upwards or downwards as necessary.
