Starting your new Job

So you've finally got here. You've searched, you've written your Cv and attended interviews and now you've been offered that perfect role.

Starting in a new position will present a challenge.

From an individual's point of view, joining any new organisation is a process of learning and familiarisation with a different set of cultural values.

It can be seen almost as a period of 'apprenticeship' before you are accepted as a full member of the team of organisation set-up.

During the period in which you are settling into your new job, it is important that you draw on the experiences and skills that you have developed during your search for a new position.

The purpose of this section is to give you a few pointers to ensure you make maximum use of the opportunities your new position offers to you and helps you to succeed in it.
