The LBS business information service online is subscription based but provides free briefings on topics such as global branding and viral marketing; access to resources such as association listings and contact details of useful organisations and some key business information via its strategic partners who include Hoovers and Blackwell Publishing. Has a very handy section called 'Internet Intelligence' which pulls together a concise selection of resources to get you up to speed on the online world without reaching saturation point. Northern Light
Excellent news research tool that searches over 7,000 full text publications for articles on whatever key words you choose to search on. Some articles are free and some are paid for individually. Motley Fool - How to Read an Annual Report in 5 Minutes
The Motley Fool is a great site for investors, presenting information in a plain English and very easy to understand style. This is a really useful article for those new to investment terms and company accounts and takes you through the financial statements contained in an annual report, explaining terms such as market cap and P/E ratio. The site also contains lots of other useful help and advice with understanding financial terminology.
